Overmolding for Prototype and Production Parts
This shows the value add that the Polyjet – Connex500 has in its dual material options. Vistatek can now run over-mold, soft touch, and living hinged parts in 2-3 days before you make the investment in Tooling.
This shows a part that was prototyped on the Connex500 with VeroWhite (83 shore D) for the substrate and the Tango Black (61 Shore A) for the overmold.
VistaTek also made this part using aluminum tooling and plastic injection molding to create this over-molding Santoprene over Cycoloy (PC/ABS) in a 1+1 family tool in 2-3 weeks.
